Labor Day Read-A-Thon Update #2

I'm actually really proud of myself because I didn't think I'd actually read a lot, but I have despite my head.
I was able to finish The Julian Game by Adele Griffin last night, and kind of started on  Bad taste in boys before I decided I need sleep. (Give me a break it was 330am)
Now I'm on page 50 of BTiB I'm thinking I'll be able to finish this tonight sometime, and hopefully start on either A need so beautiful (which I've heard awesome things about and I love the cover.) or My beating teenage heart by C.K Kelly Martin which comes out Sept 27th. Which one do you guys think I should read?
We all want to be remembered. Charlotte's destiny is to be Forgotten...

Charlotte’s best friend thinks Charlotte might be psychic. Her boyfriend thinks she’s cheating on him. But Charlotte knows what’s really wrong: She is one of the Forgotten, a kind of angel on earth, who feels the Need—a powerful, uncontrollable draw to help someone, usually a stranger.

But Charlotte never wanted this responsibility. What she wants is to help her best friend, whose life is spiraling out of control. She wants to lie in her boyfriend's arms forever. But as the Need grows stronger, it begins to take a dangerous toll on Charlotte. And who she was, is, and will become--her mark on this earth, her very existence--is in jeopardy of disappearing completely.

Charlotte will be forced to choose: Should she embrace her fate as a Forgotten, a fate that promises to rip her from the lives of those she loves forever? Or is she willing to fight against her destiny--no matter how dark the consequences

Ashlyn Baptiste is falling. One moment she was nothing—no memories, no self—and then suddenly, she's plummeting through a sea of stars. Is she in a coma? She doesn't remember dying, and she has no memories of the life she left behind. All she knows is that she's trapped in a consciousness without a body and she's spending every moment watching a stranger.
Breckon Cody's on the edge. He's being ripped apart by grief so intense it literally hurts to breath. On the surface, Breckon is trying to hold it together for his family and his girlfriend, but underneath he's barely hanging on.
Even though she didn't know him in life, Ashlyn sees Breckon's pain, and she's determined to find a way help him. As her own distressing memories emerge from the darkness, she struggles to communicate with the boy who can't see her, but whose life is suddenly intertwined with hers

Total pages read: 587
Total books read: 2 and half

  1. I have been wanting to read My Beating Teenage Heart so I vote on that one.

  2. Wow! Great job! I can't believe you stayed up until 3:30! I really liked The Julian Game, I can't wait to see what you think of Bad Taste In Boys, and I think you should read A Need So Beautiful next!

  3. :) Yeah I stay up late anyway why not read.
So I have tie anyone else? I don't know which to read.

  4. So glad you read The Julian Game! Now I'll be keeping an eye out for your review. Congrats on reading more than you thought you would! I also LOVE what you did with your blog header!

  5. Small- Thanks, I'm actually amazed I usually don't read like that. I don't think I did anything to my header did I? I feel like an idiot because I don't know. I'll probably try and write my review for TJG tonight after I get some reading done for A need so beautiful. I put off writing reviews for other books I read a few months ago that now I'm not sure I can review them (just for the fact that I've done other things) so I'm gonna have to try and get better at writing them after I read so it's fresh. Bad reviewer on my part.

I love comments! Leave me one, and I will comment back either on here or on yours! So check back!

Happy Reading and Blogging, Ashley
